This is a very interesting looking meteorite. On 5 Dec 1999, 16 pieces totaling 3.527 kilograms were found on the desert surface in Oman. It is classified as an H6, S3, W3, impact melt breccia. It has large dark areas of melted material surrounding rounded areas of a lighter brown unmelted region. Dhofar 010 is a weathered meteorite and some cracks have been filled with epoxy before finishing to stabilize the pieces.
